Bryan and Sherene

Bryan and Sherene is such a sweet and nice couple. They are warm, friendly and fun to be around. So it was no surprise that their wedding was a real joy to photograph.

This wedding saw one of the most fun encounters between the groom’s men and the bride’s maid. Both sides filled equally with fun. The bride had a bevy of pretty bride's maids while the groom had his team of zany brothers, eager to take on the challenges which awaits them. The result was a great fun time and a great retrieval of the bride.

By the way, there's a slideshow after the photos. So do continue all the way to the bottom ya! :)

As you can see in the following photos, our cameras love them as both Bryan and Sherene are naturals in front of the camera and this made our job so much easier.

The day started early in the morning as usual. The cheerful bride was extremely excited while the she prepares for the day ahead.

And.. after much preparation..

… they were all set and ready!!

On the groom’s side….

The groom and his brother’s were all set to face the fury of the bride’s maids.

This was just before all the fun started. All prim and proper!

And this was during the games. A bunch of fun and very sporting fellows.

I could not help myself from laughing during the games. They were really into it.

After much fun, laughter, screams and painted faces… the groom left with the bride!

And made their way back to the groom’s place.

And before they called it a day to prepare for the dinner reception, the obligatory bridal bouquet toss!!

Any guess which one of the beautiful bride’s maids got the bouquet?

And one final photo … or two… with the bride’s maids and ..

the brothers.

One exciting and fun wedding this was. And thanks for having us as your photographers. We wish you all the best!

Oh.. and do check out the slideshow we prepared for them for their dinner reception.

Nadia Heng

Recently we had the wonderful opportunity to photograph Nadia Heng for Today's Choices Magazine. She was on the cover!!

Nadia is such a wonderful person to be with. For the lack of a better description, she lights up the room simply by walking into it. She is that brilliant! She is easy to talk to, easy going and fun. None of those primadonna syndrome which some may choose to exhibit.

Nadia is a former Miss Malaysia-World 2010/2011 and is currently Hypp TV Host. She is also XIXILI's ambassador and Asian Shark Conservation ambassador. Oh.. and should you need an emcee, Nadia's your girl as she too is an awesome emcee.

The photoshoot location was at Saujana Hotel just off Subang Airport Road. Our first location was at Senja Restaurant. Although named in Malay, Senja is actually serves fine Italian cuisines. The aroma of the wood fire really gets your appetite going. Anyways, back to the shoot.

The restaurant is flooded with light which makes for wonderful natural light shots.

But of course we snuck in a shot or two with creative lighting.

Very interesting lighting we had that day.

The restaurant were kind enough to bear with us while we move some tables and chairs to make way for better angles.

We had load of fun photographing Nadia. As you can see from the photos, the team were enjoying themselves.

Nadia was always on hand to review, comment and improve on the photos!

See what I mean? At each location, and each set, Nadia makes sure that everything is up to par, especially on her end.. and to a certain extend, help us improve the photos.

Oh... there was an awkward but extremely hilarious moment. Not gonna post it up here. But you can, by all means, ask us :)

And last but not least.. here's a quick group photo before we waved goodbye and got caught in the rain trying to get back to our parked cars :S

A Very Impromptu Product Shoot

It was quite a impromptu shoot.

A very impromptu shoot indeed. So we had to rush and make do with what we have on hand. Fortunately enough, we had enough equipment to make a rough-it-out lighting system and background for a product shoot.

Here’s our quick setup using what we could find at home. White sheet of paper and styrofoam. Two constant lights and a single flash with umbrella.

In total, we shot almost 100 products. It was supposedly rather straight forward. Set up the background and lights, prepare and arrange the product, then shoot. But as you can see from the photo, having to bend over the table to prepare and arrange the product for 8 hours straight was quite laborious.. and literally back breaking!

But all in all, we had a fun time photoshooting the products.

Flying Berjaya Air to Penang

We recently got an invitation from Berjaya Air to celebrate their new route to Penang. Jason and I loves flying just as much as we love Penang food, so an invitation like this is impossible for us to pass. So we took up the invitation immediately!

For your information, Berjaya Air flies to Penang 5 times daily! And right now until October 2013, you can fly to Penang on the new ATR 72-500 for as low as RM84 (or from a flyer included in our welcome bag it’s from RM98 nett). So what are you waiting for?! :)

General Manager of Berjaya Air, Ms Adelie Lee said, “Berjaya Air’s objective is to assist and cater more options for travelers in providing more flights to Penang Island especially during this coming Chinese New Year. We think that this is what we should contribute by providing more services in the airline industry for the people. Still holding to our motto “Your Getaway Airline”, we aim to generate new demand to various island and shore destinations in making affordable and quality getaway travel available to all”

Personally I have yet to fly in an ATR before. Surprisingly it was rather comfortable. And personally I think it’s more quiet compared to those jet powered aircraft like the 737 which is used by a certain budget airline.

Of course, previously we experienced a single propeller 4-seater light aircraft. Now that was REALLY fun.

Anyways, we took off from Subang Skypark. It was a very pleasant experience flying from Skypark. Firstly, the airport is just a short distance from Petaling Jaya or even the city centre. No need for a long 45 minute drives and all that. Then from check in to the departure lounge is just a minute’s walk away :)

Nina from Berjaya Air was present at the check in counter to ensure smooth check in and to see to our needs. Such a pleasant lady :) She was also with us when they hosted us at Pangkor. More on that to come soon.

That’s Jason sitting comfortably in the aircraft.

The aircraft itself it rather pleasant.

It’s a rather small aircraft but a very comfortable one. The photo above was taken from almost at the back of the aircraft. There’s also ample space in terms of seating position and leg room.

Oh.. and we have pillows!! No need to pay extra :)

Halfway through the flight, I saw this!!

We had refreshments :) Nothing much, but it’s a welcome treat!

A simple kaya bun with peanuts, water, juice and wet tissue/towel. A very nice breakfast to start the morning. Just nice to fill the empty tummy in the morning while waiting for the main breakfast in Penang!

On the way.. the view was magnificent!

Oh.. and look what we found..

Today’s Choices as the in-flight magazine! You might recognise the magazine from our previous blog post :)

We stayed a night there in Penang and had our craving for laksa, char kueh teow, and cendol satisfied!

Penang’s International Airport just recently underwent an overhaul. I have not been to this airport before, but apparently according to Jason, it’s a much better airport now. Much brighter, and more comfortable.

And we were on our way back to KL.

We would like to thank Berjaya Air for having us on your new route to Penang! It was a real welcome as we were actually discussing (and salivating) over Penang food just a couple of days prior to the invite :)
